Bayada Nurses Expands in Atlantic County

Atlantic City , NJ- Bayada Nurses Expands Services in Atlantic County Atlantic City, NJ
Bayada Nurses is pleased to announce the expansion of its services in Atlantic County. The expansion includes the opening of a new office in Atlantic City, which will serve the needs of the Hispanic community. Known as the Atlantic City Espanol Office, this office will offer personal care services to Spanish-speaking adults throughout Atlantic County. The current Bayada Nurses office in Linwood will continuing functioning as a full-service office-providing personal care, skilled nursing and chore services to adult and pediatric clients throughout Atlantic County.

Scheduled to open April 1, the Atlantic City Espanol Office will be managed by Nilsa Cruz and overseen by Marilyn Sweeney, who also serves as the Director of Bayada Nurses's Cape May Office. Staffed by Spanish-speaking staff, the office will provide personal care services such as assistance with activities of daily living, homemaking, companionship, and meal preparation. The office will accept Medicaid, private pay, and most insurances. Referrals will be accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. "We wanted to better serve the Hispanic community in Atlantic County," says Sweeney. "So opening a Spanish-speaking office was the logical choice. We are thrilled that more Atlantic County residents will be discovering why our employees are known as Heroes on the Home Front." Sweeney is also thrilled with Cruz's appointment as Service Director of the new office. "Nilsa's experience is a perfect fit with what we need for this office," says Sweeney. A resident of Absecon, Cruz previously worked for 21st Century Health Care Consultants and Cuidado Casero Home Health Services of New Jersey. Both of these positions provided Cruz with hands-on experience with home health care and Medicaid regulations.

The current Bayada Nurses office in Linwood will continue offering a full-spectrum of home care services-including skilled nursing, personal care, chore services, homemaking and companionship-to both adult and pediatric clients throughout Atlantic County. Managed by Maryann Prudhomme, the office accepts Medicaid, private pay, and most insurances, and referrals are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. "One of our goals in 2003 is to expand our presence in the Hammonton area," says Prudhomme. "We are doing this by actively recruiting staff in the area and letting Hammonton residents know that we can meet their home care needs." Prudhomme is a Registered Nurse with more than 20 years of management and clinical experience in health care and nursing. She previously worked for organizations such as Southern Ocean Home Health & Hospice, Health Care Advocate Services, Holy Redeemer Multicare, and Kimberly Quality Care.

Both Bayada Nurses offices have job opportunities for nurses, home health aides, homemakers and companions. The benefits of working in home health care include one-on-one patient care, flexible hours, and the ability to work close to home. "We offer wonderful opportunities for mothers, homemakers, retirees, students, and other people looking for meaningful work with flexible hours," says Sweeney. "We also offer rewarding opportunities for nurses who want a change from the frantic pace of working in a facility."

Founded in 1975, Bayada Nurses is an independently owned home health care agency that employs more than 5,000 RNs, LPNs, home health aides, and therapists working from more than 70 offices in 14 states.
