Free Charting and Documentation Seminar for Nurses

Cherry Hill, NJ - On May 1, Bayada Nurses and the Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative will offer a free seminar for nurses entitled "Charting Smarter: A Clinical, Legal and Practical Approach to Documentation in 2001."

The seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Cherry Hill, NJ. The seminar will help nurses appreciate charting from a jury's perspective, understand liability insurance requirements for today's nurse, and gain a physician's perspective on the impact of charting. The topic is of particular interest in today's litigious society, where jury awards to plaintiffs in malpractice cases have been very generous. As a result, malpractice insurance premiums have skyrocketed-causing many physicians in the Philadelphia area to modify or abandon their practices.

The seminar is free to all nurses and includes breakfast, lunch, and refreshments. Due to limited space, preregistration is required and must be received no later than April 23. On-site registrations will be accepted on a stand-by basis only. Registration brochures can be obtained by calling either Bayada Nurses at 856-216-8003 or the Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative at 856-665-6000. Attendees will be able to earn either nursing contact hours or professional development hours.
