Bayada Nurses Salt Lake City Office Now Medicare/Medicaid Certified

Murray, UT - Bayada Nurses is pleased to announce that its Salt Lake City office is now certified by Medicare and Medicaid. This means the office can provide skilled visits, participate in state waiver programs, and work with Salt Lake County Aging Services. The state-sponsored waiver programs include the Technology Dependent waiver, the Brain Injury waiver, the Disabilities and Mental Retardation waiver, and the Personal Care waiver.

Bayada's Salt Lake City office opened in December 1999 and has been providing extended hour home care services for private pay clients. Serving the entire Wasatch Front, the office accepts both adult and pediatric cases and offers a variety of home care services, including skilled nursing, personal care, and rehabilitation. Services are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on any schedule. The office is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and also has a CLIA certificate, which allows employees to perform blood draws for clients.

"We are looking forward to expanding our service base to include Medicare and Medicaid clients," says Debby Moore, Director. "We are thrilled that more Wasatch Front residents will discover why Bayada employees are called Heroes on the Home Front."

The office employs a number of experienced home health care professionals, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), therapists, home health aides, homemakers, companions, and live-ins. All staff are fully bonded and insured, and all applicants must undergo a criminal background check as well as reference checks. "We have very stringent hiring standards so our clients can feel completely comfortable with our employees coming into their homes," says Moore. The office also employs a number of Spanish-speaking aides and office personnel. In addition, Moore and the office's Nursing Supervisor have 50+ years of combined home care experience.

Founded in 1975 by J. Mark Baiada, Bayada Nurses is an independently owned home health care agency that employs more than 5,000 RNs, LPNs, home health aides, and therapists working from more than 70 offices in 13 states.
